Hello all FGC Port Harcourt alumni, this site has been created to give us a place to see new events, old friends and current news and developments going on with us and our alma mater.

We hope to use this forum to pass on information about planned reunions, activities, and events, and would like it to be as interactive as possible, so please do not hesitate to ask questions or post comments.

CHARITY EVENT AT WEST HOUSTON ASSISTANCE MINISTRY DURING THE 2019 HOUSTON REUNION

At the 2019 Houston Reunion, as has become our tradition, we look for ways to give back to the communities we find ourselves in and this time is was the West Houston Assistance Ministry. As always, we donated our time and non-perishable foods to the ministry to help them feed people in need in the community.

M.C. Ebo Academic Excellence Award

It has been a long road to getting this done, but finally the first M.C. Ebo Academic Excellence Award recipient has been announced. Young Mr Agu Uchechukwu who was the proud recipient of the first installment of this award. This award is named after our beloved ex-principal, the Late Great Mr M.C. Ebo, who was principal of our school from 1979 to 1985.

I have to first thank all the people who worked so hard to get this done: -

Aike Ibe

Nneka Anude

Ukuku Dike

Onyemechi Nweke

Everybody who donated financially to the fund that was used to make this award possible, and whose names are listed on the Yearly Dues and Donations page.

Last but not least, the 2015 outgoing President of the FGC PH OSA USA Chapter: -

Femi Ajao.

In my opinion, was the heart beat, and initial champion of this award becoming a reality.

Thank you all so very much for all your hard work and contributions. Without you all, none of this would be possible.

The award consists of a Personalized Plaque and a Dell Inspiron laptop, with Microsoft office Home and student suite 2016 installed, intended to help the award winner open new doors, and achieve all their hopes and dreams. The goal is to keep giving the award for as long as we have funds to make it happen, so that we can keep motivating the students to keep striving for excellence in all their present and future academic endeavors. So if you wish to donate to the M.C. Ebo Academic Excellence Award Fund, please do so on the “Yearly Dues and Donations” page. Nothing is too small to help make a difference in the future of a child, especially one that is blossoming from the same fertile soil that produced every one of us!!
